Bergamo - Saturday 31/10 2015

There are so many churches in Italy

Looking towards Città Alta

Funicolare (train that takes you straight up to Città Alta from Città Bassa)

Beautiful architecture in Città Alta and the typical Italian flowerpots on the balconies

A fountain, please notice the owl : )

Guess what my first thought was as I read Mandragora..?

Clock towers are also very popular here

More beautiful architecture

Norrow streets are so very beautiful

Ice cream, strawberry and lemon

Me and a little bit of view behind me

Mom with the same view but mostly bushes behind her

Here is the view without either of us

Another beautiful view! Bergamo is very, very beautiful!

The view over the city

This leaf was just laying there and I felt inspired so here is the result..

A whole in the stone wall with again the view of the city

A stone wall of one of the narrow streets

A pastry shop's window, how can one not get hungry..?

I mean look at these..

So I ordered (in Italian) two chocolate croissants and they were amazing!!

On Satruday we set off with the train towards Bergamo (the train takes about 50 minutes from Milan to Bergamo) to see this beautiful city! As we arrived and came out of the station we came directly upon the main street with a lot of stores and restaurants all the way to the church that you can see on the first picture. After we reached the church we had to walk a little bit longer until we reached the little train (funicolare) that would take us up to Città Alta. Once there we walked around on the small streets, went into small shops, bought really good ice cream and we got to see this amazing view!
The whole day was about walking around and explore Bergamos fantastic architecture, the views and the different small lokal shops. We also got to enjoy a chocolate croissant each which of course was amazing!
